Chili powder, kosher salt , lime zest (for the glass rim)
2 oz tequila
2 oz tamarind syrup
½ medium lime (juiced)
1 cup crushed ice or 1 large cube
- In a small bowl combine the chili powder, salt and lime zest and mix well. Run a lime wedge around the rim of the glass and dip the chili, salt & zest mixture and set aside.
- In a shaker add ice, tequila, tamarind syrup and fresh lime juice... Shake it!
- Fill the glass with ice and then pour the margarita mixture ingredients over the ice and stir.
- Garnish with a slice of lime
Note: If you want it to be a little sweeter add some simple syrup or a dash of orange juice.
