10 pieces chicken (I like to use legs and thighs but choose whatever makes you happy!)
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp salt
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp dried oregano
½ tsp dried basil
¼ tsp dried thyme
¼ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp white pepper
¼ tsp cayenne pepper
- Preheat your grill or smoker to 400°F.
- Combine all ingredients for the spice rub in a bowl and mix well.
- Generously season your chicken pieces with the rub and place in a large foil pan. Top each piece of chicken with about a 1/2 tablespoon cube of butter.
- Cook until an internal temperature of 165°F is reached, about 30 minutes.
